• USPlus® Saw Palmetto Extract:

  This is derived from the berries of the Serenoa repens palm, a plant native only to the Southeast region of the United States. Studies suggest that saw palmetto inhibits the binding of dihydrotestosterone DHT (a potent form of testosterone) to cellular receptors in the male prostate gland. It has been used to counter benign prostatic hyperplasia. Saw palmetto can also be useful in modulating male pattern baldness. Other studies have pointed to saw palmetto as a possible aid in reducing the inflammation associated with physical exercise.

• Cernitin® Flower Pollen Extract :

  Cernitin is a well-known extract originating in Sweden. Cernitin is a generic blend of selected graminacea flower pollen. It has been used throughout Europe for generations to enhance sexual capacity in men by strengthening the prostate gland and its surrounding muscles.

• 5-LOXIN® (Boswellia serrata) extract

  Is a patented extract from the boswellia plant.It has been shown to suppress 5-lipoxygenase(a dangerous enzyme), which can induce undesirable effects in cells. This culminates in the excess accumulation of leukotriene B4, a pro-inflammatory compound that attacks the joints, the arterial wall, and other tissues. Recent studies show that normal aging and a poor diet can cause 5-lipoxygenase levels to increase, causing undesirable effects in prostate cells. 5-Loxin® has been shown to suppress 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) and other pro-inflammatory factors that are harmful to cells throughout the body, including the prostate gland.

• Stinging Nettle Root Extract:

  As men age the conversion of testosterone to estrogen increases and prostate cells are especially sensitive to the effects of increased estrogen. Nettle root extract helps protect prostate cells from excessive estrogen levels.

• Pygeum

  Normal aging causes levels of certain inflammation inducing prostaglandins to increase in the prostate gland. Pygeum africanum extract helps suppress these prostaglandins, which helps keep the prostate gland comfortable. It is especially helpful for improving urinary function, which can be impaired by an enlarged prostate.

• Lycopene

  Is a powerful antioxidant found in tomatoes and tomato products.

  In a study of over 40,000 health professionals, Harvard investigators found that men who ate more than 10 servings of tomato-based foods daily (like cooked tomatoes and tomato sauce,) had a 35 percent lower risk of developing prostate cancer than those who ate the least amount of these foods. The benefits were more pronounced with advanced stages of prostate cancer.

  In another study of prostate cancer, researchers looked at blood levels of lycopene and found that the risk of developing prostate cancer, especially aggressive cancer, decreased with increasing blood lycopene levels. Men taking 50mg of lycopene daily had significantly higher levels of lycopene. In this study, researchers found that a high level of lycopene in the blood was associated with low PSA (prostate specific antigen) levels. High PSA levels in blood may be a sign of prostate cancer.

• Phytosterol Complex w/Beta-sitosterol.

  Studies indicate that Phytosterol Complex may be helpful in improving prostate health, supporting the endocrine system in elderly people, reducing inflammation, and assisting in maintaining healthy cell membranes.

  Similar studies indicate that beta-sitosterol consistently improves urinary symptoms related to prostate enlargement and can be extremely helpful for men with symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Four clinical trials involving 519 men with mild to moderate BPH found that beta-sitosterol provided notable relief from urinary problems. It may also be helpful in balancing blood sugar levels.
