InosineInosine is a precursor to adenosine, an important energy molecule, and plays many supportive roles in the body. Inosine is a small molecule that helps restore nerve function and is one of the few supplements shown to help regrow nerve connections in laboratory animals. It is being used in research and by some physicians for patients with MS, stroke injury , brain injury and autism. It is most effective when administered at the time of injury. It is used in France and Russia to improve energy production in the heart. Inosine has been shown to have neuro-protective properties. This means that it helps to protect neurons & cells in the nervous tissue. Research has indicated that Inosine may aid in the treatment of stroke victims. A study funded in part by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke and that appeared in the June 25, 2002 edition of Proceedings of the National Academy of Science shows inosine may stimulate the healthy nerves to grow new connections in the brain and spinal cord. Supplementation substantially improved brain function following strokes in the lab. Additional studies suggest the same axonal rewiring that takes place in the brain may help reduce the severity of spinal cord injuries and promote growth in optic nerve cells. DIRECTIONS: Take one or two capsules daily, or as directed by a physician.
Other Ingredients: Magnesium Sterate, Silicon dioxide.
