CONDITION: FIBRINOGEN TOO HIGH
Fibrinogen is a protein which is produced by the liver. It plays a role in clot formation and in the development of Atherosclerosis. many studies link elevated levels of Fibrinogen in the blood to an increased risk for Stroke or Heart Attack. Laboratories list values around 193-423 mg/dl of Fibrinogen as normal, but multiple studies show that blood levels greater than 300 mg/dl will increase your risk of Heart Attack, Stroke, or other Vascular Diseases.
