KOLD KARE® for Cold, Flu, Sinusitis & Allergy Relief.

The main ingredient in Kold Kare® is Andrographis paniculata an herbal product derived from the Andrographis Paniculata shrub grown in the moist, shady areas of India, China and throughout Southeast Asia.

Andrographis paniculata is best known in Western society as a popular over-the-counter alternative remedy for the common cold.

As a preventative for the common cold, studies show that andrographis may increase the body's resistance to infection by stimulating the production of antibodies and macrophages. Macrophages are key players in the immune response to foreign invaders such as infectious microorganisms.

Three double-blind controlled studies have found that andrographis significantly reduced the duration and severity of cold symptoms. One 4-day trial in 158 adults with colds, found that treatment with andrographis significantly reduced cold symptoms. Participants in the study were given either 1200 mg of andrographis extract standardized to 5% andrographolide or a placebo. By the second day of treatment, and even more so by the fourth day, individuals receiving andrographis experienced significant improvements in symptoms as compared to the placebo group.

Symptoms that greatly improved were:

• Earache
• Sleeplessness
• Nasal drainage
• Sore throat
• Other cold symptoms improved as well

The main active component in andrographis is andrographolide, which in herbal medicine is referred to as a 'bitter' principle - so called because of its bitter taste. Indeed, andrographis is known as the 'King of Bitters'.

Bitter herbs generally have a natural connection with the heart, liver and gall bladder, and most have a cooling effect on the body and can bring down a temperature.

Andrographis and its various components have demonstrated a variety of effects in the body. Aspects stimulate general immune activities, others inhibit the body's inflammatory mechanism and still others demonstrate not only anti-microbial abilities, but also are instrumental in killing certain tumor cells. Studies have also indicated that the active chemical, Andrographolide, helps to stop the clumping of blood platelets which is the clotting process that can lead to heart attacks.

DIRECTIONS:

At the first sign of a cold

• Take 1 tablet 4x a day for 6 days.

If you have a cold already

• Take 1 tablet 4x a day for 10 days.

To prevent cold when exposed

• Take 2 tablets twice daily.

To help sinusitis problems

• Take 2 to 4 tablets every day
