A food allergy is an immune system response. It occurs when the body mistakes an ingredient in food as harmful and creates a defense system (antibodies) to fight it. Food allergy symptoms develop when the antibodies are battling the "invading" food.

Food intolerances are caused by elevated levels of histamine (a substance in the body that's released during an allergic reaction) in food. These elevated histamine levels can make eating certain foods very uncomfortable.

• Bread and confectionery made with yeast

Histame is the first product worldwide that decreases histamine levels that cause food intolerance by replenishing the body's digestive enzyme Diamine Oxidase (DAO). Diamine oxidase (DAO) is a body‘s own enzyme that metabolizes histamine. Although DAO is found practically in the whole body, the most important site of its action is the intestine. The enzymatic activity of DAO determines the histamine degradation speed. In the case of DAO deficiency or inhibition, incorporated or endogenous histamine cannot be degraded quickly enough, and the symptoms of histamine intolerance are presented.

Who should take Histame

This product is for children (5 years and older), teenagers and adults consuming foods rich in histamine. Histame is not intended for those who have immune system-related food allergies.

DIRECTIONS: For optimal results, take 1 to 2 Histame capsules within 15 minutes of consuming histamine-rich foods/substances known to cause food intolerance. Since the main ingredients have been developed to be stomach acid-resistant, you can open the capsules and swallow the ingredients (if preferred to swallowing capsules).
