Quercitin - C
Quercetin belongs to a class of potent antioxidants called flavonoids. Rich food sources of Quercetin are garlic, tea, red grapes, berries, broccoli, and leafy greens.
Quercetin inhibits the release of histamine & other inflammatory mediators. It decreases the inflammatory response in the mast cells of the nose & mouth & all mucous membranes. It also supports your blood vessels and capillary system, decreasing capillarity fragility and permeability.
Possessing a singular cancer-fighting feature, quercetin can prevent cancer caused by chemicals. Having a unique molecular structure enables quercitin to block receptors on the cell surface that interact with carcinogenic chemical compounds.
Greek researchers have discovered that quercetin dramatically suppresses one particular cancer-causing gene in colon cells.
Quercetin’s multi-faceted chemopreventive profile means it can block cancer development at many different stages. These gives modern onocology a wide array of potentially chemopreventive mechanisms.
