Evening Primrose Oil - Efamol
Efamol is the brand of evening primrose oil used in most of the studies & the brand offered here.*
Evening primrose oil is one of the richest sources of Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA). It has had the most extensive testing & documentation of all GLA sources.*
"Evening Primrose Oil has been extensively researched and you can easily find the results on that on the internet."*
Linoleic Acid, which is found in several oils, can convert to GLA under ideal conditions. However, aging, vitamin B6, zinc or magnesium deficiencies, or excess alcohol or saturated fat consumption can interfere with this conversion to GLA. GLA then converts to prostaglandin E1. PGE1 may be deficient in depression.*
